I've broken up with men that my kids really liked. You know what? The relationship has to work for the ADULTS first. If I'd stayed in those relationships because my kids liked the guy.... well, if that's going to dictate who I'm with I should have just stayed with their father.

First and foremost, if the guy is telling you he's "not in love" with you, believe him and move on. Second, while you are a package deal and any guy has to get along well with your kids, do not let your kids be the deciding factor in who you stay with.

God this site brings back so many unhappy memories sometimes!!! Anyway I say mooovvveee on.

I once dated this guy for almost a year, had loads of fun together and I thought things were going really well. He even teased about marriage several times. Then one evening out of the blue he has this stupid grin on his face the entire time we're together. He was smiling so much that I couldn't help smiling back. So finally I ask him, "why are you smiling so much?"....and get this - he replies "I'M HAPPY BECAUSE I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH ANYBODY!!!" Whaaaa????? That was so crazy - my mouth could have hit the floor! Needless to say that was it.....well, except for he had the nerve to try to get sex that night (which he did not BTW). Man what a jerk! That was a hard, cold slap in the face and so unexpected.

So I say to you my dear, if a man tells you that he is not in love with you.....please believe him!!! He wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it!
