on that note. I'd meet with her. Just keep clear boundaries.

Treat each other the way you want to be treated. If she doesn't , recongize it.

i actually don't think i'm going to meet with her. as much as it tears me apart and i REALLY want to see her, i know it'll be too painful. even this brief email exchange with her brought up all kinds of feelings I thought were dead. I can't keep doing it again and again.

In my opinion, there is no need to meet, that you will regret that. I would just go on my way and try to find someone that I can get along with, where a relationship can be without all the drama, life gives us enough drama to start with.

Wise decision....you're not so lost after all. Everything your described since the ending (since...the cancelled trip) sounds
very unhealthy.

I'm super new here and this is my first reply but seriously the above comment is so childish! I had a similar situation, my ex- and I were engaged and he pulled that "no contact" garbage. It is really immature and hurtful to both parties, whether you realize it or not. When you really learn how to love someone, pride and "getting the last laugh" are never considerations.
somehow i missed this post...i guess i was skimming? but anyway...

depending on the situation, i don't think "no contact" is garbage. i have a lot of unsettled emotions for her, and i realize that i will never get closure specifically from her. i tried multiple times...and got hurt multiple times. even now i want to know "why?" but i know i won't get a straight answer. so i think it's best that i just leave it alone and never see her again.
