Hi there, just need a little help from everyone get a few opinions. So theres this girl (Lina) we have known eachother forever. But okay, I love Lina more then anything in the world and she knows that. But were not in a relationship persay. Im trying to figure out if she wants it to get into one again, She is always telling me how im like her second half, How much her parents love me ( and how many times they have told her im perfect for her), She is always wanting to get hugs and says i love you all the time. Should i just grow some balls and make a move?

Sorry you haven't had a response sooner. I think it is difficult to answer your question without some more info and you don't have anything in your profile like your age (how long is forever that you have know her?), which might help.

There are some people who like to hug their friends a lot. Is she like that around others? Has she behaved like this with you when seeing someone else? It sounds to me like she sees you as just a very close friend or almost like a brother from what you have written.

Perhaps you can give us some more info that could help us to give a good objective view of your relationship.

If you do this, be prepared for the BIG awkward in your relationhip for a very long time if she just wants to be friends.

Yep, what MelinCali said. It's a tough balancing act, but it would definitely be awkward if she only wanted friendship.

I would suggest inviting her to participate in an activity that is generally reserved for couples (i.e. day trip, romantic dinner, a cruise if you can afford it, etc.) and see how she responds.

If you do not take a chance you are always going to be doing the "what if " game. She has already given some hints so now it is up to you. Good Luck

Communication! Talk. Don't beat around the bush, so to speak. Stop all the high school stuff guessing if she likes him or he likes her, waiting for your friend to pass her a note in science class. Don't just "make a move." Talk about how you feel and ask her how she feels about you. Communication is the key to understanding, and it can also head off any embarrassing actions you might have taken. She'll appreciate it. How many times have I heard from a woman years later, "If I had only known." If you love the girl talk to her. If you want a serious long term relationship you're going to have to talk and be honest with each other. Good luck.

I suspect that your friend is sincerely insincere! Very big with the hugs and kisses, but no follow through. Suggestion tell her that you've been thinking about her as a lover and possibly more but your not sure that it's mutual? Suggest taking her away for a weekend to Florida or the Islands, a Country Inn or Bed and Breakfast? The good part is that you find out if you are or are not meant to be together.
