Hey all. Question: Could you be in a relationship where your partner does not french-kiss you?

I'm experiencing this, but everything else is great. I'm not sure if this is something I can learn to live without, or if I should acknowledge that this is a major, potential deal-breaker.

Just curious ... does your partner do anything else??? Or is it only a quick kiss on the lips or cheek?

At what stage of the relationship are you? Is this something that the two of you have discussed? Is it just that your partner has not yet french-kissed, or has it been declared off limits?

quick kisses on the lips...and sometimes i can manage to get a nice long peck...

we've been excusively dating for several months.

he says he just never really dated much...and with that came the lack of kissing...i guess he's used to it

i can't relate...i went several years with no dates and no kisses...and every day i thought about being kissed.

You might have a problem here. Time to have a talk with him - or just go for it, and find out if he returns the feeling.

Some people do want to move really slowly on the sexual front; he may be one of them. Or, given his lack of experience, perhaps he is extra apprehensive or anxious in this area (or afraid of losing control). Have you made it clear to him that you want more from him? Have you discussed what each of your feelings are about sex and relationships?

I was in a 2 and a half year relationship with someone and it was their first "real" relationship. For some reason, she just didn't like to french kiss, and it stayed that way until the relationship ended.

I guess some people just don't like it, or I'm horrible at it.... or both!

I don't think i'd be able to go without kissing...I mean french kissing is part of the intimacy, of sexuality... I mean look at movies can you imagine what it would be like if all they did was peck...If you love being french kiss then I would let him know hey I like to french so french me...Also he might be nervous that he is an awfull kisser which kissing can always be taught or adapted...but honestly talk to him about it and if he tells you that he won't kiss you passionetly and that you feel it is something you need in your relationship theni would tell you to leave...
