I'm reaching out again to get all of your wonderful advice :-/

I began seeing a guy that I was matched with on EH. Things were going very well... we met in person and had a few dates. Last week, we took a mini 2 day trip "camping". It went really well! He told me that he really wanted to get to know me better and not see anyone else, I felt the same. Then all of a sudden, he's gone. Not a text, e-mail, or phone call. I actually have one of his shirts, and would love to mail it back since I'm assuming he's broken up with me. What happened? It literally shifted 180 degrees. Did I do it?

-majorly confused

That's called poofing and it happens for a lot of reasons. I would guess he got scared and bolted, scared of opening himself up to someone, making himself vunerable emotionally.

Check the obituary . . .if he is not dead, he has "poofed" on you. In that case, keephis shirt for car wash.

Don't worry! You are still very young and attractive. I'm sure you will find someone else.

Sorry to hear, how many times have you tried contacting him?

Don't see how you messed it up though. I hate people that give no explanation and do stuff like this.

He knows that you are interested. I would leave it at that and discontinue the contact. There is an expression that is very poignant - "There is nothing more interesting than a disinterested woman/man". Perhaps he's not a bad guy but for sure he's not up front about his level of interest or why he has 'poofed' on you. Don't you think that you deserve better than that?

I know :-( It's just not very fun that we were going along pretty happy and it came to a screeching hault. I checked: there are skid marks. It's difficult for me to understand the games that people play.

How old is the guy?

Yeah he shouldn't have said anything like wanting to see you again and not see anybody else if he didn't really mean it, that stinks.

You're only 24...plenty more fish in the sea (unlike some of us have passed the freshness stage, and go straight to the cannery, and get stuck in corner of a dusty warehouse called ehA LOL!!!!!!!)

He's 25, basically grew up in the military (6 years this October) and told me early on he joined EH because he wanted to settle down and have a family. He's also out of the military in October for the same reason. He even cancelled his EH account :-( it would just be nice to know what's going on.

Just because I'm 24 doesn't make it hurt any less, but I appreciate the "encouragement" PY :-P

LOL PY.

WVCHICK, I know it hurts but remember, some people (men and women) get caught up in the wave of feelings that being with someone new brings. In all things, we should make informed decisions before we comit to things - such as him saying that he didn't want to see anyone else after a couple of dates. I would be wary of anyone that says that. Know the facts/person before leaping to that conclusion. Food for thought.

PY is right, you are so young, and beautiful. Keep reminding yourself that you deserve someone equally as wonderful - and mature. It WILL come along. In the meantime, may I suggest that you don't play all of your cards too soon after meeting someone. A little mystery in the beginning is sexy.
