Great article eha! A good woman can find a diamond in the rough and help polish him up. If he is smart, he will reward her with loyalty, excitement, stability and be in it for the long haul. Don't give up ladies! A lot of good men dream of being with a good woman.

Theres plenty of guys out there who are looking for amonogamous relationship, who are grateful and giving and I count myslef in this group. Butthe recurring trouble I see for women is they are unaware of the signals they send out and dont know how to respond when confronted with them. A tip foreveryone is be considerate and honest, however brutalthe truthmay appear at first it is a lot easier to deal with than lies and confusion, make yourpotential aware of your feelings as soon as you can. And for Gods sakekeep the work place for work andfriendships as friends and never sleep with either. I have a lot of female friends that I have met on web sites and recognised that not all of them are potential partners, but we respect each other, and have developed meaningful relationships together without any confusion or hurt, simply by being honest, it makes life so much more easier. So girls look out for the average looking guy who has a heart of gold, not the golden looking guy with an average heart. You will be rewarded with passion, love and protection forever.

If a manwho isfriendly, respect others, dedicated and family oriented & loves kids is more likely to be the man in it for the long haul. But ladies, to maitain a long term relationship it has to go 2 ways streets, in my experience that me & my wife are still together after 9 years & having 2 kidsare to forgive & forget, after each heated argument i'll try to make up, and she shows that she's regret of what was said. But sometime i wanted to walk away (maybe the fire in us is not as much as it used to be), but looking at my kids those thoughts just fades away.

So the conclusion is if a man loves kidsis5 out of 10, and the rest is just a bonus

It's too bad people didn't wear "signs" of who is or is not in it for the long haul but definitley people give off "signs" of their true nature through words and actions.

This gets confusing. I thought I read somewhere that men would only be interested in women when they felt very attracted to them. Are you aying that this 'average' guy would have learned to be less 'picky' and be open to meeting other kinds of women?

I met a girl at a bus stop one day , the very day i finished a twelve year relationship. The girl at the bus stop was Vietnamese and had her purse stolen that morning from people in the womens shelter she was staying in. We talked all day as we went from place to place re applying for all her new cards and paper work. I helped her in the seperation custody from her violent abusive husband and then he stalked me for two and a half years. Out of all the anger and determination of this guy to harrass and deter me from helping her , i met her sister who lived in Vietnam we maried two years later and now we have a beautiful 7 month old boy and my friend how is now my sister-inlaw is walking tall and safe and happy. It was a long haul but i would do it all again in a second just to meet this beautiful lady who is my wife now. There is a broad definition to long haul but the main ingredients are love ,respect and feeling safe.

I think the focus of these postings should be about the decent, average decent guy looking for a long term relationship with a woman who will not freak out on him because they have unresolved issues from the past, such as a divorce.
