I signed on to classmates last year to organize a school reunion.* I had to pay something like $39.95 for a six month subscription.* The most annoying thing about the process was that one of the*first questions I was asked when filling out my profile was "Are you trying to form friendships, form a network of business associations, or are you looking for permanent relationship or a marriage?"* I was taken aback by this because the classmates site didn't initially advertise itself as a dating site;* the only reason I signed up was because it advertised itself as a place to meet old classmates and organize a reunion.

I haven't been on the site for three or four months now.* The reunion plans didn't work the way I expected them to so I probably won't go back anymore.
I checked out Classmates, when a friend told me she was planning reunions, but everyone I want to keep in contact with I already am so it seemed a waste of time. Both reunion plans fizzled out and I wonder if it's because it IS so easy to keep in contact with others now compared to years ago. When I first got married, then graduated, I kept losing touch with friends...long distance was very expensive back then and though I was relatively good about writing letters or at least dropping a postcard in the mail, I found others weren't so religious about it. Life happens. Then LD got cheaper, still not cheap though, and we were able to chat now and again but when you're married, working, etc it's hard to find time to just sit and talk. I loved it when friends finally started getting computers and emailing. Now we can share pics and talk regularly and surprisingly many more actually WRITE real letters, notes and cards now. I think I'm contagious LOL! I have always loved droppng a postcard in the mail with a 'thinking of you' header... sometimes people need to know they're important to others. Anyway.... IDK how men view Classmates but as a woman, uh no, NOT a meat market ROFLMAO!
