So here's my situation:

My bestfriend and I got together initially casually about 4 months after she was divorced. We were friends for 4 years prior while we were living in Ireland and her husband was living in the US. Long story short, we were always friends while they were married but the distance between them led her husband to have an affair and then all of a sudden asked for a divorce. She was very loyal and never cheated on him. Nevertheless, we spent our last year in Europe casually but exclusively dating and it worked very well. We became very serious and then decided to keep the relationship going even though we were moving to 2 separate cities 600 miles apart. We saw each other every month 6 months after we moved back to the US. About 4 months before we split up, she told me she had fallen in love with me which initially took me by shock but was happy. Then 4 months later, she got scared about being in serious relationship, couldn't trust me and decided the distance was too hard for her as she wanted me there all the time. I told her I'd move there but she didn't want me to move for her. We split up, which was definitely very hard for me but we have remained as friends. Over the last 9 months or so, we have not gone a week without talking and she still tells me she loves me and misses me so much but that she's not ready. She sends me random texts telling me she misses everything we had in Europe. I even got an opportunity to move to her city in the summer but she didn't give me a straight enough answer to do it. Then recently I came to find out she started casually seeing another person a few months back, which was the 1st person she has seen since me. I actually dated someone else for 3 months in the spring as well. We spoke about everything and she tried to reassure me her new relationship was casual as she didn't want to get emotionally attached to anyone new as she was to me. She told me she is planning on moving to same city I'm moving to in 1.5 years and hopes that we will be there together. Now my questions is do I still keep in touch with her or do I quietly walk away? I feel like she played me for the last 9 months for her own selfishness and is still toying with me by telling me she still really loves me but that "I guess the distance got between us." I'm out dating as well and am happy but this was someone I was very compassionate about and has been hard to let go. Obviously it has been hard for to let go as well but I don't know whether she's being genuine or just keeping me around to make herself feel happy. I'm very confused and would like some outside opinions/advice.

Thanks and sorry for the long story.
