This question is for the women on here: How do you all prefer to be asked out online? Would you rather have phone contact first, just meet, or subtly indicate you're interested. This is assuming a few email exchanges have taken place.

After exchanging a few e-mails on OC, I prefer a guy to ask if I would like to visit on the phone. If the conversation goes well, then I like to meet for coffe , some place like Starbuck's. If that goes well, then a "real" date is usually the next step. Everyone is different regarding their preferences, but that's what I'm most comfortable with.

I concur. After a few emails & then a talk on the phone, if that goes well, meet for coffee & if you're both still interested, you can then progress on to a "real" date.

Wow...I thought you ladies liked to be followed around during the day & night from a distance, and then to have you trash gone through for personal memorabilia first. Who'd have thunk it.

I am right there with the rest. After some e-mails I like to meet for coffee. I prefer to exchange phone numbers only in case of the need for a last minute change or cancellation, but that is just my preference. I am not a phone person, I would rather talk in person. I usually try to set up a meeting for early evening, then if we want we can continue the date. This way there is no akward moment of rejection. Either one of us could have "other plans".

X-ray vision gogglesare the latest in 'assisted dating'. That, combined withapproachinga womanwith an extension collection of her hair and nail clippings should really enhance one's chances. I think my bad experiences so far have just been bad luck. I'll keep forging ahead...I'm sure success lies just around the corner.
