There are a gazillion meet-up groups in Toronto whch is a fun, safe way to meet likeminded people who do become friends and more.Just do a meet-up search et.... voila.
Meet ups are a fantastic way to find someone who shares a hobby or financial interest or into learning something adventuresome. Web sites about "greening" the neighbourhood or socially activist groups are also a GREAT source of like minded souls. Join all the groups which interest you and you have time for. If you find that the agenda does not suit you, don't return to that group again. Find another! Keep moving on! There is a match for everyone! Just takes some extra legwork! Best advice I've ever been given: "LISTEN TO YOUR OWN HEART STRINGS" !!!

I think Toronto is fantastic too! So many great places to eat, meet with friends, or just enjoys some arts and culture. I have lived in Toronto most of my life and dont really see myself leaving!! If you havent already visited, you should do so ASAP!

I have lived for 42 of my years in Toronto. There are more places to date, than what was listed. If you want to spend the cash, like its going crazy, go downtown, but there are many activities outside of the core, and into the other regions of Toronto.

There are three Chinatowns in Toronto. All of them are unique. Never mentioned in the article.

Volunteering in Toronto isn't a problem. I volunteered for years there. I still volunteer to this day.

Of course, I am now in my 50s and your whole outlook on dating changes. Your maturity creates differences that you don't realize in your younger years. Even when I was 42 and dating after 14 years of marriage, I had different ideals. At 52 and another 7 years of marriage, it has changed again.

Basically, what I am saying, is that the article is great for the younger crowd, but it is totally different for the 40s and 50s.

I think my very first post here, was to complain about the "Dating In..." article for my home town. They're all poor articles. Probably copied from a travel guide. We've made suggestions, even offered to rewrite them. eH isn't interested.
