Please, I'm not even reading the article. Just legalize it already, the tax revenue alone will pay off the national debt and save social security in three years...
If you legalize prostitution then you can tax that too

Hey...I smell that stuff around here, and I'm gettingreally hungry! Anybody up for a road trip to the AM/PM for some nachos and some midnight munchies? I'm also getting a little paranoid. I know there's a cop around here somewhere!

Ialso agree with the sentiments behind decriminalization and legalization. It would turn a multibillion dollar deficit into a windfall surplus almost overnight. The ongoing futile madness of the "war on drugs" is responsible for much of that deficit. Not to mention, it would take the money out of the hands of the black marketeers who are profiting from the "criminal" element. It would also remove potential corruption from law enforcement agencies, who alsopotentially benefit from the "temptations" of an illegal drug trade. The concept of consentual crimes (or is it consensual), or vice crimes, is both ludicrous and absurb in a truely free society. Laws should be limited to the protection of the individual and their property.Nonviolent drug related offenses are responsible for over sixty percent of incarcerations in the United States, giving the U.S. the second highest level of incarcerations behind Russia. After all, the attorney general has determined that reefer smoking can be hazardous to your ass. It is amazing how such a relatively benign drug could have such a politically incorrect stigma attached to it.

However, socio-political implications aside, I personally do not use marijuana, nor would I want a partner who who does so. But, I also have the same convictions regarding excessive alcohol use. Alcohol is responsible for destroying more lives than any other drug, just because one is "legal" and the other is not, does not necessarily make it more "benign" ormore "ethical".

I was cycling thru the countryside in rural Kentucky, and came across a bridge with this graffiti on it. "Smoke Pot EVER Day".... hahahahaha I guess if you say it out loud, it kinda makes sense?

I would not consider it a deal breaker. Booze would be more of one. Either way occsioanl use does not bother me.

I don't think people are lazy, many findings say it is a medicine, in our society of people being so uptight this is acceptable for relaxtion if someone chooses.

My concern would be the legality, unfortunate, as it is less harmful than booze.

Second if it were in excess.

I do not believe at all it is a gate way to other drugs. It is for the light recreational, spritual, or medical purpose of relaxation.

It is not addicitve as booze or pornography. My thoughts.

id rather u smoke pot rather than drink any day of the week! id agree with everybody who has commented so far, its a great relaxer, even helped a friend with cancer" she ate all the time, which kept her from losing all her weight, due to treatments, and no it did not cure her, she passed, BUT she was happy!

I WILL admit that I was tempted to try LSD/acid years ago because I heard that you're never the same after taking it and many people received some spiritual reawakening from it, but I never took it.

Try "magical" mushrooms. Youll get a different perspective on things. I actually think the world would be better off if everyone took mushrooms (once...not daily!)
hell yeh, lets go trippin! i have done acid, lsd, magic shroooooms, an smoked the devils weed! im am perfectly normal now? i think, anyways i hold a 50hr wk job, own a house, a buisness, and have 5 perfectly normal but mean as heck kids sometimes. an been married over 12 yrs to a gal that hasnt even took a toke, so call me blessed or cusrsed , im up for a good trip anyday of the yr!

Shawneeman was once an expert on Shrooms and which would make you happy and take you places of amazement and in his early years tried all forms of LSD and was seeing things that he never knew existed and finds them to be very safe and great for every now and then experimentation, very mind expanding. So Ms Brit3164 i'll give you my address and please send me a sample of what you have please and make sure they are safe for you..I wouldn't do them everyday but an occasional taste is very enjoying. Most people have said that dope"Mary Jane" makes people stupid and lazy which I know is completely false ,,i don't enjoy it in my life but over the years i've met many lifelong users that it has the complete opposite affect on and they are far from lazy or stupid and act very naturily and safe,,stupid and lazy is a myth with Weed.just like alcohol it affects different people in different ways and is very well known for helping medically when used in a mature fashion its the same as alcohol and its no way near as addicting as alcohol,,i don't ever recommend it to anyone under 18 but there are many myths associated with its use.
