Closing a match based on his/her pictures?

Ok, I rarely close any match based solely on profile pictures, other than those who areall touchy-feely with an unnamed woman in the pictures. But, I've closed one not toolong ago, whose profile picture looked like a scan of his driver's license - dark, blurry, I couldn't really tell his facial features at all. Curious, I clicked on the "more photos" button, and...


3 headshots came up, ALL of themfeaturing bright, bloodred pupils staring straight back at me, with slight variations of either a smile or what looked like a grimace. I mean, theoretically I understand it's the "red-eye" effect caused by low light, lack of eye shine, etc... But seriously, looking at those3 mugshotsmade my heart pound, in a not so good way. So being the coward who could not watch horror movies alone...


CLOSE.


I'm curious, has anyone else ever closed a match based on the pictures,for reasons other than the ambiguous "other person" in the photos?

yeah, she didn't look healthy. her house in the background looked like the kind of house that encourages you to sleep in your car when you come to visit. i don't mind a mess, i mind it when the mess looks like it has a biological hazard component.

Yes... I closed a guy who had 3 pix (including his primary photo) and ALL were shirtless! No shoes, no shirt, no date... that's just where I feel I have to draw the line!

I saw this set of photos once 1) photo from behind - one shoulder, one ear, some hair; 2) photo from a distance - you could see someone sitting next to someone and it is not clear who is who and both wear hats and sunglasses.

It's the same regardless of gender. The purpose of the eH profile is to "sell" yourself. If they don't at least put noticeable effort intofilling out their profile...including posting decent photos of themselves: "Click.Close.Other" is what they get.


Very few of us actually are photogenic. However, you can tell when someone just doesn't care by both their appearance as well as the quality of the photo.The two inexusables in regards to photos: scanned ID photos and badly takenself-portraits. The worst of the worst: self-portraits taken in the bathroom mirror. To me, this just screams social isolation...not even having a buddy to ask to take a quick photo of you. Yikes! Although I know this is mostly men who do this...I've gotten a few matches where she did the dreaded bathroom mirror shot. YIKES!
