a man asked if i'd like to talk on the phone and then possibly meet. i said yes, we agreed on a day for the call. i called him and he didn't pick up the phone. that was yesterday. strange? what now. i suspect nothing, as in, i do nothing and move along. weird though,right?

If he has your phone number and is interested, he will call. I assume you left a message when you called.Many men can be flaky like this.

I've found some men do this is you're being cautious and have your number blocked. It may be a control thing or it may be that they just don't want to deal with a telemarketer if that's the call coming in instead of you. I try to assume the best intentions until someone proves otherwise, although I am one of those folks who doesn't give out a number until I've talked with someone (either by e-mail or phone) enough to feel comfortable about it.


I've had guys give me their number and then not pick up. I generally set a specific time. If I do that, and they don't answer, I move on.
