free profile test case

Last night I showed a friend of mine my e-Harmony profile and walked her through the plusses and minusses of paid membership. She wanted to see the personality test so I made up a new username and took the test. My results were slightly different and I now have a "free profile" so I can see what the other side looks like. I put in my "more info" section that I can be reached through these boards and that I am not a paying member. I'll be curious to compare how things go for the paid membership vs. the unpaid one.


You cannot see your matches photos or who's viewed you as a non-paying member. You also can't communicate so I'll be curious to see how that works if at all.


My matches are different (lots more from Austin).


I'll keep anyone who's interested posted.

I was not in the best state of mind when I filled out my questionaire. I wonder if I had taken it at a different time, if my matches would have been better.

I'm interested! My paid membership is about to expire and I'm curious about what I'd get as a non-paying member.

I did do a brief comparison of my matches. Only one of them is someone I've had before and that guy is an expired membership I think (He was one of my first matches before and never responded to any questions).


You are limited to 10 matches at a time. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Don't worry about it. It's mostly BS. What matters is distance, age, drinking & smoking. The other stuff you can alwaysgo back and adjust.

So I got ten more matches today and three of them were ones that had rejected me (with the infamous "Other") so I closed those three with "no Chemistry." I was closed by one guy and you cannot send a "good luck with your search" message unless you sign up.

Man! I haven't even gotten that many matches and I'm paying...but not after August 23! I hope Mr. Right finds me before then (his first name better not be "Always")

Very interesting idea, Corky! I cancelled my eH membership as of this month but it would be interesting to go back and see what your approach might bring in.


Question: did you post a photo with your trial membership?

Question: did you post a photo with your trial membership?
I posted three photos. Two are the same from my paid profile. You can post 12 photos.


So far one guy "winked" at me but none has initiated contact. I put at the bottom of my profile that they can "speak" to me here.
