Is it possible to redo the eHarmony questionnaire? The reason is that it has been over a year since I last took the test, my views on some of the questions might have changed, and I really want to start fresh. I heard it's possible...you simply just have to use a different credit card number?

YES!! yeah, I did that once....just for my own investigations (I actually took it 3 times as a test. I got the same results twice, and another time a different personality....it seems I am somewhere on the line between extrovert/introvert but I did take the test months/years apart). I tried the two different ones to see if I would be matched with different people. I was, but there was some overlap.

Anyway, that said....

I just emailed eharmony (I rejoined about a month ago) to ask them to change my location as it did not automatically change when I changed my settings. They actually asked me if I wanted to redo my personality profile because they said it had been a couple of years since I did mine, and they have improved their matching process since then...not sure if that is true but the profile is a bit different and more accurate for me.

Not sure how that plays out for actual matching, but I am glad I re-took it and it was nice that someone personally contacted me about it, I didn't ask.

If I were you I would email and ask them if you can, since they changed the process a little bit. If not, use a different email address and credit card and REDO!

ps. just in case you were wondering....my personality report is generally the same as before it just seems like they allowed for more "dimensions" it seemed to get more at the real me instead of trying to label me as an extrovert or an introvert which seems to be where I am never consistent on personality tests...but generally all of my results have been consistent with who I am, just not the whole picture. The latest test seems to be a lot more accurate, I actually found the results pretty interesting and real.

Hey there! Yes, you can re-take it--just call customer service. Although a warning...I did this and hated every single match they sent me after taking it. They were all cookie cutter finance-industrypretty boys (not that I have anything against this type) but I did not get to OC with any of them. I was better off with my first results. But hey, with all the complaints I am not sure any of the 29 dimensions actually have a connection with that survey! Good luck!

Hmmm...interesting. I wonder if say, the results come out similar, what the chances that I will former matches will be...especially if we dated before? That could be very awkward.

I might try it tomorrow...my subscription runs out on the 27th, so I want to see what kinds of matches I get before I say adieu to my current eHarmony profile.

it did happen to me....it didnt bother me that much, or them. It wasn't anyone I had communicated with for longer than maybe the first stage. At least, I dont know that it bothered them. I think one person may have tried to contact me again but I wasn't interested the first time....or the second time. Remember you dont really owe strangers anything. I'd say I got a handful of previous matches, not enough to worry about.

If it comes out the same, just go back to your old profile.

I just asked them this question and they told me you can re take it every 6 months. I did the same in the beginning I took it two times to see if I could get different results and they were not that different.

EH customer service reset mine and my personality report was different. I'd suggest copying what's in your report before retaking. They first had me as very outgoing but now it's sometimes outgoing, sometimes reserved. I don't know if that made a difference in the number of matches I receive.

Awhile back I setup an account that I didn't pay. The personality report was completely different and there are matches there that I don't get on my paid account so I guess they are selective of who you get matched with.

Well, I took the questionnaire again, and I guess the most noteable change was that my "extraversion" trait went from "sometimes outgoing, sometimes reserved" to "very reserved"...which makes a lot more sense given my condition. It will be interesting to see the types of matches I get this time around.
