just one date. I didn't feel any chemistry. He, quite obviously,felt otherwise. I have got to figure out a better way to communicate.

2 first dates but I only started in May. Both from eHarmony because the men I meet from other websites creep me out.

I'm curious...by "lots", how many approximately? Are we talking an average of one a week? How do people manage to get that many dates? I assume you use other sources besides eHarmony? How do you juggle all of them at once (and the communication prior to meeting them)?
Maybe 'lots' isn't the right word. Maybe a dozen or so? It feels like a lot (I mean that is a frustrating/waste of time and money way, not is a braggin way). Most have been off EH. I would love to have a steady stream of 1 date/week. I should clarify..... I would love to have 1 GOOD date a week hahaha I do juggle a bit, but at this point, I try not to get too excited about 1 EH match. It's really too tough to tell online. There have been several people that I've had great chemistry with online/over the phone, but it was a dud in 'real life'. So I try not to put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. Don't get me wrong, if I was in a committed relationship, I wouldn't be on EH looking for new folks, but a few dates in, things can still not work out pretty easily.

10 formal first dates. 8 of these from eharmony. And I took a break in May and June.

Wow, this post is making me not feel too bad about my dating life. I've had about 15 first dates from eharmony. Not too many 2nd dates and only three 3rd. Since I started eharmony I can only guess, but I think it has to be around 30 first dates in about a year and a half. Almost date has gone really good, except for a few. I just seem to be meeting really picky women.

I started dating in February: 12 first dates! that sounds great - until the following info: 4 second dates, and twice I had as many as four dates. These last were the most difficult because they ended so casually, with no discussion or explanation. Though they were not a good fit (for either of us) its still awkward and unsettling.


I will keep walking this path, though.... lets see what is next!

Don't believe that for a minute! My best dating years were my 30's! Or you can hang on until you hit 40 and they are all divorced. Either way, don't get discouraged, just get out there!
