I had a first date last night and the chemistry was through the roof! Nothing physically occurred. We are going out tonight again and have been texting fun stuff to each other today. Is it typical for ones' mind to "buzz" all day after this clear experience? She's definitely on a similar page.

It sounds good for you guys....

one warning shot to remember...and this seems more common with online dating.....

try and not have this go to fast and then have it quickly burn out. This seems to happen alot in cases if you are dating someone in say 5 out of 7 conseecutive days.

Considering you just got out of an extremely tumultuous long term relationship where you were treated incredibly poorly, I would be very careful at how you choose another partner. Since you are choosing to not take any time or counseling and jumping straight in...you may not have the bar set very high as someone who is even nice to you will seem wonderful.

Chemistry is wonderful, but unless it goes with a kind, compassionate, loyal and respectful person....it means nothing. So I hope that you have your eyes wide open.

I wish you luck.

I don't know your history but based off of Ingy's paraphrase I would agree with her. Chemistry is fantastic and essential for relationships. However, if you are coming straight from a relationship that was emotionally damaging it makes it a bit easier to fall for people who simply make us feel all the good things about ourselves that our ex had convinced us we did not possess. This is when rebounds become a dangerous game to play. Once this person has boosted your self esteem you might realize you were only looking for them to do just that. So I would take my time with this and enjoy the chemistry, but do not rush into anything at the risk of hurting yourself or this other person. If you are not good at recognizing red flags, make sure to find a trusted friend or councelor from now on to discuss your journey within relationships in order to keep your progression on the right track.

Awesome. I love it when that happens.

I know its weird but i had a very similar date the other night. There were moments when we were undoubtedly undressing eachother with our eyes but it ended with a hug. We have plans to see eachother this weekend...should be interesting.

Be careful. Your post from only 6 days ago says, "But I have lost who I am and how to care for myself." And your post in December talks about your ex-gf of 16 months becoming increasingly distant.

You may be a great match with this girl, but you've been recovering from the loss of a serious relationship. It is easy to rebound at this stage. Make sure you're seeing things for what they are.

I'm pleased you're feeling a lot happier this week.

I also hope you listen to my advice and keep working on time enjoying doing your own stuff - so you always have someone there to fall back on - yourself. I always have "me" time which involves going out for meals with friends or evenings in watching films, doing diy, going for walks etc.

Don't throw yourself into another relationship in order to make yourself happy. Have the relationships as 2nd priority to the number 1 priority which is... you.
