Some people are really casual and touchy feely in harmless way. They'll throw around 'dear' 'hon' and etc to everyone. Doesn't mean they're pining away for you or setting up some altar a la a serial killer movie. Means they're friendly and casually affectionate. XOXOXO could just be that - casually affectionate and since you didn't bother to even give any context of the message or what the match is like personality wise I wouldn't read much into it. If they sent graphic/suggestive sexual emails during GC then I'd close 'em. Personally, I think you're way over thinking XOXOXO....

It was a general question, based on the fact that it has happened on a few contacts, but as per another post, I never put any thought into it until I received one that was just his number and XO, so it struck me that I had seen a few times, and was wondering others experience.

Pretty much casting a wide net to send to everyone and seem "affectionate"...so some will go for the bait
