This is difficult for me to imagine. I've "sexted" with quite a few women (though I didn't know it was called that until the media invented the term), and it has never occurred to me to share it with anyone. If any of my guy friends tried to share theirs with me (which has never happened), I'd think they were pathetic. It's generally understood that we're all having sex, so there's no need to brag about it.

This sounds more like something that high school or possibly undergrad college guys would do. Locker room stuff, like you said. The technology didn't exist when I was that age, but I can imagine some of the guys I knew at that age bragging about it.

Well said. I should have read the rest of the responses before adding my $.02.

I said video is likely to get passed around online, though, not pics. And even then, probably only if you look like a porn star or are famous. There are just way too many graphic images and videos out there these days for many people to get excited about seeing an average-looking stranger naked on the internet.

Agree. I would never share, distribute, or allow to be seen, erotic content sent to me by a partner.

Not only is it utterly low class to do so, it jeapordizes not only my partner continuing, but her even keeping me. I would espect to be dumped.

Two thumbs up!!!...nice to know I'm not as archaic as my friends think I am...and doubly nice to have a bit of validation from men who understand and recognize the OP's dilemma for what it is...

...but to each his/her own I say, for those who see no problem with sexting...I just have to be careful about everything I say and do as an educator and never want anything I say or do online or in any social networking to compromise my job or who I am ...so my issue with sexting may involve a bit more thought and concern.

What many of us are trying to say....is that I would NEVER want to take the chance on that one jerk of a guy who decides to share my photo/video and words with his buddies or post it on the internet...

This is a man with whom she had never met...there was no way to know his character. This is why I consider that very high risk with someone you don't know.

As mentioned....even with someone that I love...would I not send any nude photos/video over my phone or email as relationships can end but it's out there forever...

I'm happy and find it fun to share some racy writing with a man I was in a ltr....I just think it's important to know them first so you can gauge their integrity.

(I do have a nice stash of video tapes that I have from my marriage...LOL
