Question for those on okcupid. In one of the questions that they give you, it asks something along the lines of "do you need to communicate everyday with your partner and I kid you not.....at least 90 percent of the people I have encountered chose "It is not necessary" as answer which I think REALLY sums up the notion there at that many people on the site who simply are not serious about long term dating. There are other choices to this question. Here's the actual question....

"Is it a requirement that you communicate with your significant other every single day, in some way (phone, email, in person, etc.)?

The answer choices are:

A) no it's not necessary
B) yes, unless otherwise specified (which was my answer)
C) something along the lines of you MUST communicate every day.

By choosing A, you're basically saying, I can care less if I go a day or two with NO communication with my partner. It's a perfectly fine answer if you're not looking for anything serious. However, I would think if you are in a serious relationship, you would want to at least communicate once a day with your partner. I think it represents a very large theme on the site that nobody really gives a damn about communicationg or meeting up.

I would love to hear other user's thoughts.

Living together not communicating daily = bad
Not living together, I can understand to a limit.

And anyway, on point, not neccesary means you are comfortable with and trust a person. And I am assuming those to be not living together relationships.

Cities can vary a lot. Also here, a significant amount, like way over 50%, of women on OkC in their 25-35 are in the midtown area with degrees and no kids. There is a much more upscale feel in my age group on OkC.
