I have dated one guy from EH and one guy from Match in the last year. But, I seem to get more dates from Match than EH. I have also noticed things happening more when you first join a site.

I haven't been having a lot of success either, but that is on me because I haven't been putting a lot of effort into it.
This thread is following exactly the same line that all those other match vs eharmony threads do. And that is the girls have better luck on match then they do on eharmony and the guys have better luck on eharmony then they do on match.

That's why when I did join match I quit using it after about two days because I view it to be a total bore sending out all those silly winks or 'hey, how you doing' emails to nameless profiles. Many times not even to people you are interested in but just to get someone to talk to you. And if you are a guy that is exactly what you have to do to have any luck.

Most of the unsolicited contacts I have had have been pure spam.
I agree with out, many of the profiles, especially from ostensibly eligable females are boring as hell.

So how do you talk to someone who tells you nothing about them self except that they like music, oxygen, food, long romantic walks on the beach, and movies? I could be confrontational, but that is not really good.

That begs the question; why is that so?

As many have said, gender ratios and communication format.

I don't think I'd ever bother with Match again unless they improved/fixed it substanially .

What kind of changes would you like to see.?

For me it would be more creative ways to communicate
with matches other than just "blind" emails to
people you don't really know.

That's why I think the GC system is the best idea any dating site has going. It lets you find out who is interested/not interested before you have to start writing those emails.
