Hey everyone,

How was your weekend?

Got any dates to report?

And the burning question on my mind today is: what did you do on Friday night while our Advice site was down?

I was thinking about ya'll and the bad luck with timing since it was during one of the big date nights for roll call and I was sweating it big time!!!

~~~
I had a mostly good weekend, it was a bit work heavy for my tastes but we had lots going on, so...
I did manage to find time to squeeze in a fun outdoor movie with the guy I've been dating, we went to Outdoor Cinema Food Fest and saw Fight Club (one of my favorites, Brad Pitt, drooooooooooooooooool)
And Sunday afternoon I rode my bike down the beach and had an early dinner with a friend of mine. She was waiting for a first date with a guy later that evening and he not only ran over an hour late but texted her that he was DRUNK! Needless to say, she ended up not going out with him... (really, what are people thinking when they do stuff like this?!)
Anyway....how was YOUR weekend?
Had a fabulous weekend. Worked out an hour on Saturday, hit the beach and rode waves all day and had beers with friends on the beach. Saturday night had a Eharmony date. Nice guy, on the same page as me with what they are looking for, but not a match.
Sunday afternoon, hit the gym for two hours, shopped with friends and shared beers and burgers with a "non-online" date at a local Irish pub. So much fun!
One good thing about Eharmony, the dates seem to be more relationship focussed. I remain optimistic maybe I'll meet a match
One date, share the same views on what you are looking for. But not a match
I took Friday off and took my kids to a small amusement/water park that's about 3 hours away from our home. We spent al day Friday and Saturday there, then came home on Sunday, stopping along the way at an outdoor dinosaur museum. My 9 y/o son thought it was really cool. My bf was supposed to go with us, but had an emergency at work and couldn't get away. It was still a good weekend with my kids before they started back to school today.
LORI! So glad you had a nice weekend. even if work heavy. The cinema night sounds wonderful. I miss those days when I lived in Venice and Hermosa Beach - the beach life is awesome. I shall live vicariously through you!
hmmmm...my dating life is better now than when I was in socal, so I guess that's a decent tradeoff - men in the midwest vs. sand at the beach.
altho, I dunno. the beach made me happier and more content! lol.
as for me, I had my son all weekend. we had a great time as always. my young 36-year-old stud muffin came over on thursday night and made me dinner and brought a couple of bottles of awesome wine. he stayed over and it was really nice. okay. more than nice. but I don't wanna go all R-rating on you.
he asked me to come to his house on saturday night for dinner, and then go out to listen to music, but I had my son so I had to say no.
so he came over again last night, my first child-free night since Thursday, and we just hung out and drank a little wine (he has the best taste in wine - he used to be a waiter and knows his stuff) and talked and talked until the wee hours. he stayed over and we smooched bye this morning.
I don't consider him a boyfriend yet. but I have lost any interest in meeting other guys. Something about having three wonderful dates (spaced over three weeks) after our first date almost a full year ago, just makes me feel like I need to give him a chance and not talk to any other guys. that makes me nervous, to think that I will put all my eggs in this 36-year-old basket, but I can handle it. gotta give it a chance to grow.
My boyfriend went out of town this weekend, his annual trip to St. Louis for Cardinal baseball. I could have gone, but I decided I couldn't afford it, so I stayed home. I was not bored by any means though. Saturday afternoon I drove 2 1/2 hours to see a free Bucky Covington concert. I really love his music, and he always puts on a great show. I had a meet & greet with him before the show, he is so sweet & nice. This was my 4th time meeting him, and it never gets old. The only problem was that everything was delayed by an hour, so it was later than expected. I drove there and back the same night.
Sunday afternoon I picked up my boyfriend from the airport and dropped him off home to rest before he came over later. We went to dinner at Red Lobster, loved watching my boyfriend crack and eat the crab legs. It was his first time doing that. We came back and watched a movie called Overnight Delivery. Basically he just wanted to show me the car in it, a Volkswagen Thing. That's it.
Found out yesterday my grandfather passed away at 95. That's why I wasn't posting this yesterday. He lived a good life, so there's nothing to be sad about, but I will miss him. I am actually more sad about it today than I was yesterday, it's finally sinking in, I guess.
Sunday I went out with someone from eH (our first) to the Renaissance Faire. It was dismal and raining. eH, you're not doing a good job as there was definitely nothing there . . . no sparks, no chemistry, nothing in common and she was flat (no passion).
But I was able to get some work done at my Masonic Lodge on Saturday. And Friday I went with Mom (a widow) to the Jersey Shore (Seaside Heights - yes, same location as the TV show) which is only 60 miles away just to walk the boardwalk.
