How was your weekend?

Anyone have any dates to report?

~~~
I had a great weekend, spent a lot of time with the guy I've been seeing. I ran a bunch of errands and cleaned house on Saturday during the day, then we got together, hung out and had dinner that night (mmmmm, pizza at a great local place by where he lives that neither of us had tried). Then we were sucked into the vortex that is Magnolia Bakery here in L.A. and all I can say is OMG, divine!!!!!!!!!!!!! We each shared a dessert, he got caramel pecan cheesecake and I got pumpkin spice, they were both AMAZING.
The next day we got together again and we went out to a shooting range in the desert where I fired a real gun for the first time (a .22). I learned that I'm a pretty good shot and that even though I've been wanting to learn to shoot a gun forever, I'm not sure I need to do it again, though I did really like the social aspect of this place (it's outdoors so folks had tent covers set up, there was BBQ, etc.) so I'll probably go again, just might not shoot.
After that we went and hung out in the sweet, sweet air conditioning of his place and watched movies until dinnertime, when he cooked for me
It was a very good weekend...
...how was YOURS? Tell us what you got up to!
I had a first date on Saturday! We had been communicating for about a week from OKC. We were meant to meet at a Starbucks inbetween us but when we got there it wasn't there! lol. Guess google hasn't fully updated store closings. We ended up getting some sodas in that shopping center though. We were there for about 3 hours. Conversation went really well, I dont think there was a single pause. Very flirty and funny. I was somehow so comfortable that I was doing some weird little dance in my seat and was acting like my normally goofy self. It felt really good.
He then asked if I would like to continue, and we ended up going walking around some local shops. It was a lot of fun. We went into several old antique stores. After a while we went and had some dinner at a little Italian resturaunt. I think our date lasted about 8 hours.
We have a second date planned for tomorrow. I am very excited. He isn't the typical guy I go for but I think this will be a good thing. He is also 9 years older than me, which was my only concern but I don't think it will end up being a problem. All the beliefs we have discussed thus far have been the same and we have a lot of other things in common. I plan taking it one day at a time, but can't deny that I am a bit excited.
He made tofu on Sunday. If it hadn't tasted so good I'd wonder if he had a plan to make me start cooking. Tofu tastes like anything you season it with and I hadn't realized that. I might buy some myself.
(And I have to start cooking occasionally too. HelenDanger is right about that meaning something to men. )
Great weekend for me. Saturday we went to Ruth's Chris, then to a comedy club. Both were outstanding.
Sunday we want to a baseball game and were in her companies suite. Free food and drinks.
All of those things were great, but just being in her company a significant part of the weekend was the best part. Lots of stories and laughing.
I was looking forward to an exciting story here. Those men wind up on the Discovery Channel sometimes. Was he not one of the good ones?
The best part of my weekend was going to a fund raising event called Art in the Garden. Three glasses of wine (I wasn't driving) and some little treats along with being able to stroll through a beautiful garden and look at artists painting. It was pretty cool.
