Kind of harsh there. I know for a fact that there are some quality people on POF simply because I have a profile there! I don't love the site and I do get contacted by a lot of low quality folks, but I still have a profile there because you never know where that ONE is going to show up. It is a numbers game and POF simply gets much more traffic than a lot of these other sites. Besides, it's not nearly as creepy as say, Craigslist personals (although I happened to find a quality person there too!)

As for contacting someone that you originally saw on another site, go for it. Either they'll communicate with you or they won't.

If someone is seeing the same person on multiple dating sites, that would mean that they themselves are browsing multiple dating sites, so would that make them desperate also?

Once you contact someone on POF with a hidden profile, that person will always have access to your profile. You will not be included in the general pool by doing so. A hidden profile cannot be found through a search or matches.

I don't know about the women on POF but the guys are the same mix you would meet in any public place (like in the olden days when people met in person ). Scroll down to the end of a profile and check what they filter out. I was surprised at how many men filter out casual encounters.

Op, it couldn't hurt to put up a new profile and try him again. Just don't mention you saw him on Eharm and be discerning as usual.

Btw, some of the profiles are hilarious! You can also hide viewing a profile in your settings. That way, you can browse without them knowing.
