The way I see it.

For a woman: The more her income rises, the higher she expects her dates' income to be as well (in most cases, a woman wants a man who makes at least as much as, if not more than, what she makes).

For a man: The more his income rises, the less importance he places on his dates' income because he is content knowing that he is able to provide for them both should he need to, and that's one less thing he'd have to filter for when dating.

So yeah, I'd say the income difference is the least of your concerns at the moment.

(Please note, the generalizations in this thread are not meant to imply this is the case for every man or woman... Just a significant amount to be worth generalizing).

I don't think income is something that should ever be discussed, unless you're in a long-term committed relationship where financial responsibility is being shared.
