I went on a second, third & fourth date with someone that I met last weekend. Friday we went for a bike ride and out to dinner, Saturday went dancing, and Sunday went to lunch, a movie, and then dinner. It's fun to go out with him, but I feel like I want to continue to meet other people. You can tell he's excited and has been telling his friends and family about meeting me. That has me worried that he's getting too invested. Maybe I'd better break it off now. I long for the familiar uncomplicated married life i used to have.
I don't know that you need to break things off, maybe just be less available? If you're going on three dates in a weekend with the guy, it's kind of to be expected that one or the other of you will get too invested too soon, right?

I'm so sorry, Red! That definitely stinks, I think he's making a mistake, but hey - onward and upward for you.
I'm taking a little breather; this hurt more than I care to admit, so I am focusing on non-dating activites for a bit. Get my sea-legs back, ya know?

No dating stuff for me. I had a weekend full of musical activities which was great.

Sounds fun! I remember reading that you play an instrument...it's always a good time to indulge an artistic passion

I also got up early and watched the wedding on Friday. It really was a beautiful ceremony and they both looked so happy. After work I met a friend for drinks and an early dinner then we ended up visiting a friend in the hospital which was a bit unexpected but he will be fine.

Saturday I went out and bought myself a tennis racket. I haven't played in years so this could prove to be very interesting! LOL I ran a couple of other errands and then finally met up with my boyfriend later in the evening. We ended up going to see The Conspirators too. We thought it as interesting, but perhaps a tad long.

After he left on Sunday, I took myself to the camera store to see if mine could be repaired before a trip we are taking this weekend. The place couldn't help me, but did give me a reference so it's in the shop now.

Last night he was off so he came over again and I made spinach lasagna for dinner and then we watched The Insider (documentary about the financial crisis). That was very interesting, but so complicated! No wonder the economy is a mess.

I'm looking forward to our get away on Sunday/Monday.
Getaway?! I'm jealous! Where are you guys headed?

Did a 5k with my wife on Saturday, then did a bike ride with her for about a hour all around Chicago.

It was fun.

We are heading to Holland, Michigan to see the tulips (my favorite) and then staying at a B&B in Saugatuck. We may hit one of the casinos along the way, maybe I'll get lucky.

Well, I originally agreed to just the Saturday date, but then he called Tuesday to say that he was taking the afternoon off Friday with the beautiful weather predicted and suggested the bike ride. Then on Friday he asked about Sunday if I would accompany him to get his show car out of storage, and since the day turned out rainy we decided to see the movie too. Is making yourself unavailable considered playing games? Would it be wrong to date him on the weekends and use the weekdays for new meet/greets keeping open the possibility that i might find someone that I'm even more compatible with? He's fun and likes to do lots of the same things that I do.

Yesterday, we went for another bike ride and out to dinner. He asked me out for tonight too and this time I managed to turn him down since I'm going to be preparing for a cookout for my mom tomorrow. He looked hurt.... I think he expected to be invited. I think it's too soon for him to meet my family, but now he's asking about my Memorial Day plans and suggesting I go with him that weekend to a family event on his side. I told him we could talk about it when it gets closer to that weekend, but didn't commit to it this far in advance.

Thanks for your feedback and I hope this post wasn't too long.
