Ladies:

What if you are being pursued by a much younger guy...like 20 years younger. What does he want?

How young is too young?

I know you asked for comments from the ladies but I have an opinion on everything and I like to share So here is my opinion on this subject

The ages involved have a significant bearing on this as there is a huge difference when the 20 years is referenced against someone who is 24 and a lesser effect when you are 80.

However, I have found that if the age difference is more than 5 years or so the common experience thing starts to diverge. Even at my advanced age.

This "cougar thing" would be the result of Cougar Town?

Personally...at 42...there is no way in heck I could imagine being with a 22 year old...no one in their 20's...or less than 37 or so...

I just can't see the compatibility at those two different stages in life..

My ex was 10 years older...and most men I have dated have been either my age or a few years older than I am (one guy was year and a half younger)..

But I was not a big partier after 22 or so....as well as I was traveling a lot for work/pleasure....interested in world events and politics...so I had more in common with men who were older when I was in my mid 20's until I got married at 32..

But hey...that is just me..I know there are true relationships with this age difference...Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas...Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart...

Usually the guy is older...but Demi has set the standard for cougars!! Meowwwww

Think about what a man of twenty would be looking for from a woman 15-20 years older. I don't know.

What defines a cougar? Her or her suitors' age?

Cougar Town, the tv show came way after the term has been in the vernacular or 'urban' dictionary...

Demi Moore has certainly set the tone to make it more hip though as it's working for her!

Some people have no fear of cougars.
But some do.

At 39, I get my share of 27 year olds messaging me on OK Cupid. That's nice, and... flattering? But, life-stage-wise, not really thinking we are in the same place.

I actually like women with some maturity and am open to a long-term relationship maybe upto 7 years older.

If there's an age difference of 15+ years I expect they're mostly looking for sex. It doesn't even have to necessarily be the "cougar" thing, there are women who look much younger than their age.
