Don't be afraid to show him who you really are. This is a great opportunity to share your unique interests and deepen your connection.

I am a 20-something year old female planning a 4th date with a 30-something year old man. Every other date has been planned by him. And they have all been wonderful.

Does anyone have date ideas for a girl in the city who wants to plan a fun date?

Yeah, heres some real advice. Relax. I thought dating was suppose to be fun in getting to know someone. It's not a job or a competition, so why are you stressing out so much in the first place is just crazy. You just met. What are you trying to prove? It's not what you do, but who your doing it with thats most important and how that facilitates figuring each other out. If your date doesn't get that, move on.

If your trying to impress each other, then your doom to fail anyway. Be yourself, and plan accordingly, and forget about how he planned a date. So, what? No trophy for that. Maybe he had more practice. Who cares? You are you. Don't get caught up in all the smoke and mirrors your both are placing around you, only to lose sight of the person who is sitting in front of you.

I was also going to suggest the zoo. The ones in my area even serve some wine and beer, so they are not totally geared towards kids.

Bars with live music are always fun, I've never met anyone who doesn't enjoy that! Well, maybe if they really despise the type of music being performed...

OK, fair lass - this is pretty simple. First, no eating beyond a late night appetizer. He is going to think that food is the center of your universe especially since he could prove to be a human garbage disposal. You need to address HIS interests because you are planning the date. I would suggest a late afternoon, doggie clearing walk with your respective beasts. Then, surprise him with an activity that he likes, even if the timing requires an early evening drink/glass of wine. Tell him in advance that you are NOT planning dinner, but perhaps a late night nosh. Then he will eat prior to the late afternoon/early evening doggie walk. Find some small, quiet Bistro-type place to finish the evening after his "interest" activity. This will give him the opportunity to eat if he is really hungry. Soon, however, you will have to address the differences in your gastronomic preferences - just do not push the issue. If you wish to go back to one or the other's abode, then so be it. If he then eats again, it is a really bad sign.
