You already know all you need for closure. He is rude and didn't respond to a normal request for communication. What more could he tell you?

Really, anything else would be an excuse.

Not at all.

I'm suggesting not to send a "downer" style of message. Asking if someone is still interested is only going to make them less interested.

When I have an uncomfortable gap of communication, I do one of these:

- Send a fun, flirty message.

- Just communicate as normal, without any attention paid to the gap.

- Send a proposed meeting plan.

In all cases I favor the tone of my message to convey that I have no doubt the person is still on board with continuing (I may of course be wrong, but at least I'm not harming myself.)

I will personally send at least two unreturned messages before giving up.
