I do think online dating can be good and that one can be successful at it, it's certainly not without its pain points, but especially if you're geographically challenged it's a great option. Don't lose heart!

Yay! Glad it was a good date. I think perhaps you answered your own question, the fact that it's a date that includes stimuli (which then creates conversation) that's outside the two of you can make it easier to relate to each other, the experience you're having is something in common, unfolding right before your eyes.

Good luck on date #2 tonight! Let us know how it goes
