As a man I can relate to much of what Rori has written. I have backed away from women when I was very attracted to them. I felt uncomfortable not being in control of my emotions which were all over the place. These women were driving me crazy, and I just did not know how to handle it.
The women must of assumed there was something seriously wrong with me!

Maybe that's what has been going on with me. Guys like me soooo much that they disappear. I don't change or get psycho or anything, all of a sudden they just disappear. I could be talking about what movie we are gonna go see and then he says " I have to go" and I never see or hear from him again. This could be after a couple weeks or even months of dating. No sign, no red flags, just gone, Poof....I think there must be some island in the Bermuda Trianlge or something with all my missing men.

I don't know if that rubber band idea works or not, I mean they have to call you back in the first place in order to bounce back, but if they just disappear never to be heard from again, there is just not much bouncing back.

Thanks for admitting that Raybork. Have you ever "bounced" back to any of the women? If so what made you return?

That might be a comforting belief , but it is a delusion.
Guys disappear because they do not want to be with you again.
Men are simple logical creatures who's actions usually reflect their thoughts and feelings.

Very true. Alone time and avoidance are two different things.

"STEP 1: STAY CENTERED BY REALIZING IT'S NATURAL FOR A MAN TO PULL BACK"
GREAT advice and something that I think is often overlooked.  I've observed that it is easy for a woman to smoother a man.  And when the man pulls back- naturally- there is often an overreaction on the part of the woman that does not draw the man back in but drives him further away.
Anyway, that is wht I've observed.

If a man is withdrawing I'm not going to stop him. Why would I? I'm not going to force anyone to be with me and I won't beg for love. If he's withdrawing, then he is just not that into me. I don't want to be in a relationship where a man just withdraws and I have lure him back. I want a man who communicates with me and stands by me. If a man needs space or time alone, then he should communicate that with me, so that his space is not a withdrawl. If a woman were to withdraw, a man would only chase her so much. I don't think it is appropriate for members of relationships to chase each other. Chasing is not a relationship.

it's true. what i don't get is why women can't just disappear too - in my experience we get the crazy stalker guy behavior. instead, we're expected to explain why we just don't want to be with you again.
If he's withdrawing, then he is just not that into me.
this is the message i get when it happens, too. if there's not a communication of "i need some time to do some stuff" then i feel like a withdrawing man is a disinterested man.

just my $.02
