I met this gentleman about a month and a half ago. Might have said two dozen words to him directly. I was funny woman at a party and have heard through my friend that he was interested in meeting me.

Yesterday, he sent a beautiful rose arrangement to my office -- yellow and red roses.

I haven't even been on a date with him.

What say you?

He does not understand the dating thing. And he is coming on a bit strong, but not necessarily in a bad way.

then it's odd. what did the note say?

IMO it's a classic Nice Guy move.

if you decide not to go out with him, he can now complain to anyone who will listen that he spent X amount of $ on flowers, and how he tried to be romantic, and you must be a bitter shrew for not going out with such a nice guy like him.

The note said "To Connie, F".

Well, I had told my friend that it was OK to give him my phone number. I would go out, but not making any promises (because even then it seemed he was overboard).

I didn't think of the nice guy approach, but you are probably right. I just thought it strange. . .

I think Gr8guy is right . . . he just doesn't have a clue how to proceed.

Wow...we are jaded. Some guy sends you flowers and we instantly think how odd. Lol. I think it's a sweet first move. Balls in your court now.
