Hi everyone, changster here again. So for those of you that have been following my posts, I'm on date #3 with the girl (Meg) that I earlier talked about!!!

So for the second date, we went to a small but amazing concert .. a famous Japanese singer was in town and we had the opportunity to see her live in a small but perfect concert hall.

So we earlier planned on dinner after the concert, but she indicated that she had a friend she had to attend to after the concert, was very apologetic, etc. She also said midway through the date that "she's trying to get a 3rd date from me since she has to leave this one early". It was said in a great way .. sweet and flirtatious....

So after the concert, I proceed to drive her home .. We talk in the car, great conversation, flirty.

As I pull up to house, I can sense that she really is in a hurry and has to go in. So I say "i had a great time". and she says "me too..." and then leans over and goes for the kiss ... not a peck, a real kiss lasting for about 6 seconds. I then kiss her again.

So I end it walking to her door, and we call it a night. I say see you next weekend, and "let me know if friday or sat works better"...

So my question is this ....

what are some good ideas for date #3? I want to really get to know her, but at the same time, create some real romance. I could bring her back to my house, but I think it could still be too early ...

if you get married are we all invited to the wedding?..

This girl sounds wishy-washy at best.. I can't believe I'm offering these good ideas to you, when I should be telling you, it's time for her to plan something

Just curious was this concert something she wanted to see? who idea was it?

If you really think it's too soon for the home visit..they forget about trying to create romance and just let it happen. If you try to hard it will show

Can you cook? how about cooking at home for her, you can follow this up with a board game, or prepare a meal and take her on a picnic in a park or on a beach somewheres..

instead of doing a night time date, I would consider a daytime date too, hiking, a vineyard, or even take her to a flea market (the picnic would fit in nicely afterwards)

ETA: Perfect time of year for a pumpkin patch and a corn maze!

Great! you are doing well. you want to create some real romance. hmmm? Ok, depending on your climate something like a picnic... alone on a blanket? not as forward as" your place or mine" but you'll be in a more "alone time" setting

Offering to cook or planning a picnic are good ideas.

If you want to do a public place that's more intimate and you are adventurous, I recommend traditional seating Ethiopian. It's comfy, close, a bonding experience b/c it's unusual, and the places are usu. dark and not too busy (so they don't care if you sit for hours and talk). The coffee ceremonies are really cool, too.

I hope a thirs date happens....though I have reservations....

You need to call her and set up a time and place.

With this date of seeing this japanesse singer...was she even familiar with this person....if not she could have viewed this as possibly an odd or wierd date...

If she had to leave early on this date why didnt she bring this up at the start of the date and not midway through or at the end of the concert?

If its brought up at the end..I have a feeling she wanted to check out early because she isnt interested in you for some reason. Her kissing you may not mean much to her...

I went on a first date once with a women in which we had a passionate kiss that was unforced only to see her poof.

Romantic Date? Dude that is so easy... Do like I did... Tell her to clear her afternoon and evening, I mean really clear her afternoon and evening, bring a passport, and fly her to San Francisco 1st class (OK - you can go coach too) for dinner on Pier 39. Alternatively, go to LA there is a wonderful Japanese restaurant in the Hollywood Hills. Oh, yes, bring a orange rose..

The flights and the dinner should give you plenty time to get to know each other.

Wow! You really did this? Recently? Third date or first date?

Hmmm....I have a pretty clear calendar.

Kidding!!!!!

OP......keep positive. I think she likes you and I think the third date will happen for you. I think it's great that you are trying to be creative. Sounds like you have some pretty good ideas of your own. Glad you got that kiss!!

Good luck!

Go to a UW football game, it's a fun atmosphere and will get the energy flowing. Then go back to your place for chili (or some other Fall appropriate meal) and a movie.

Hey there...

Ok..I'm going to agree with Am1 here...sorry to be a stick in the mud...but I find it odd that she wanted to leave so quickly...my gut feeling on that is she is still seeing another guy...which is not shocking as you all are certainly not exclusive...

Again..I keep harping on the large age difference with you being 38 and she 27...I think she is still wanting to play the field right now, so to speak...

I would still keep things light for now, until you can get a better read on her..My fear is that you are falling for her pretty quickly and she is not on the same page as you, and you might get hurt here..

I am still hopeful for the best though..and my thoughts would be just planning some time you can really spend getting to know each other...so even a dinner or picnic somewhere to relax and talk would be nice...

Again..hope I am not reading things correctly and wish you luck!

hey everyone, thanks for the replies...

so i actually suggested the concert. The singer (Akiko Yano) is a critically acclaimed pop singer, so it was more about her voice .. truly amazing!

I agree with many of you on the post here ... there is still something there "mysterious" about her that I haven't quite pegged. I don't think she's seeing someone else, because she does let me walk her home to her house ... I think though her mind is preoccupied with helping others or something else .. haven't figured it out.

Anyways, my plan to get her undivided attention on fri/sat night. I think she also has to be ready to date...
