Hi everyone!! I'm looking to you, my online friends in the wide world of dating, to give me some thoughts on what to do for a second date? I really want to avoid the "sit down dinner interview" scenario. Also note that I live in Madison, WI ... not a big city but by no means a small town. There's stuff do to here, but not *that* much to do.

Any thoughts?

- Wine tasting?
- Book reading?
- "Make my own" wine tasting (e.g. map-out 5 cool places with good wine selections and do our own tour)
- Other?

You can read more about our first date here ... http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...e-go-well.html (Did this first date go well?)

Thanks !!!

This seems like a creative idea.

It sounds good if the driving appeals to you.

I also like the "make your own" wine tasting. The awesome news is that Madison (my town) is a college town, totally walkable.....

Thanks !

Are you all in your early 20's?...then the walking wine tour in a 'college town' would be more acceptable..definitely better than driving though

I, personally am not too thrilled about doing more than a glass of wine or drink when meeting someone new out..so just be aware that some people have different thoughts on drinking..

What kind of things does she like doing? Outdoor things like hiking or biking? Or is she a museum kind of gal?

For me, I love outdoor things to enjoy together that brings out some endorphins!

Maybe look in the local paper for upcoming Fall type festivals..those are always fun to walk around, talk, eat some good food, have a drink perhaps..

****Have you already set up a day/time with her to go out? This is very important..don't wait till the last minute if you are planning for this upcoming weekend...

Have fun!

Oh, that's cool! Yeah, I can see doing that in a place like State College, where you can walk from bar to bar. That makes it even better--you get to go outside, and you don't have to drive. Very nice!

I'm 38 and she's 27. She's a dancer with the troupe at the acclaimed Overture Center. She comes across to me as sweet, honest, family values oriented, but very fun, creative, and artistic.

What does everyone think?
