I'm so annoyed. I've been sitting on this for two days now. The guy I dated this summer, for 2-1/2 months? Well, just found out on Wednesday night that he sent an email to my girlfriend to try to hit on her just two weeks after I broke up with him! What a jerk.

We even talked, briefly, around that time, and I told him that two of his friends had emailed or called me, trying to get me to go out with them, and I said for him not to worry, that I had no interest in dating one of his friends because that would be wrong on so many levels, and he responded and said that he'd never do anything like that, either.

My girlfriend didn't tell me at first, because she knew back when it happened I was still getting over my feelings for him. But she showed me the email the other night and it just made me so angry at him. She told me, "I just want you to know that I would NEVER do that!" She said the weird part was, she simply didn't respond to him, and then realized a few days later that he'd de-friended her on Facebook!

Now I know why, when I spoke to him a week or so later as it turns out, he asked me if I'd talked to this particular friend at all. I told him no, that she'd been busy at work, and he must have breathed a sigh of relief! Cause he's still trying to get me to turn him into an occasional booty call and he's been disappointed I haven't been interested in going that route. Guess he knew if I knew about his play on my friend that he'd lose any chance at all of that ever happening.

Why would he do this? I'm annoyed enough - almost - to email him or call him and tell him that I know and that I think he's a big jerk, but I know there's no point in it. But, had to vent. Argh!!!!!!!!!!

Well ... blah blah blah, he's not your bf anymore, he can go out with whoever he wants, your friend said no, etc etc etc.

So what! What a jerk! Good vent. :-)

First, if his friends were hitting on you then why do you think he would be different from his friends? We choose our friends and we tend to choose people with same views/values as us.

Second, who cares - he is not your bf, you don't control what he does and who he dates, it's really not your business what he does after the break up and your friend really had no reason to show you the e-mail - it's all water under the bridge. You knew back then he was a d-bag and you just had it confirmed. Why be mad? I'd be toasting ducking a bullet on this one.

Sounds to me like the insecure jerk needed to have his ego stroked, and what better way than to e mail your friend and see if she would be willing to take him on. After all it would serve two purposes, bolster his flagging ego, and at the same time irk you. You are soo better off without him.

The more I read Dancing Fool's answers to threads, the more I keep hoping she lives close by and is in my age range.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

+1. I don't know why you would be annoyed by this. I would say good riddance if your friend was interested in him as well, then so be it. Move on.

I would pay someone to hit on and marry my ex - a princely amount... Marriage must last longer than 2 months though. I pay for honeymoon and for you to "travel on business" for the 2 months. Any takers?

You only dated the guy for 2 1/2 months and you broke up with him. Why do you still talk to him anyways?

Lucky you. None of this really matters because you're already broken up. So now you can move on a find a good guy who's not gonna try and hit on your GF.
