No matter the site....Has anyone ever been matched with an ex? A sibling? A cousin?

How did you react beyond closing....did the person not realize who they were communicating with.

Matched with my live-in ex within weeks after signing up for my first dating site since the break-up. Yikes. Even more awkward because the split was due to his infidelity, and he was either cheating on her already or back out in the market!

I met a few coworkers, and women I recognized (mostly, from the gym.)

Never family, or a prior parter.

On Match, I found women I had met (not past the first meeting.)

When I first started online dating I recognized a person from my workplace, but he withdrew his profile very soon after that.

On other services, I've seen guys I've met before in the online/blind dating world. Nothing embarassing ensued though!

Matched with the profile of a convicted rapist - who met his victims on online dating sites.

I reported it immediately and his profile was removed from my Matches section.

One would think that the eHa staff would read major newspapers, notice this type of thing, and do some searching of their database.

eHarmony matched me with my brother. I laughed, then closed.

I was flexible-matched with a much younger co-worker who initiated contact. Unsettling.
