Wow...looks like you all had a great SNRC...!

I would have been better off hanging around here on the boards and having chocolate, tarts, and strawberry dac's with you guys cause my head is killing me this morning...cyber drinking would definitely have been the better way to go for me.

I'm getting wayyyyyy to old for hangovers....ugh!

BTW: Happy Happy To You VB!!!!!!!!!!....hope you have a lot more sense about what yo do on your b/d than I did...

Thank you all for making my Virgin Saturday Night Roll Call into something wonderous, with birthday celebrations, funny one liners and interesting say in for the night drink ideas....I whsh just a tiny tiny bit, that I could have been around for it all......just a tiny teeny bit maybe. NAH the concerts were the better plan really.

Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp were waiting just for us, they were tres expensive tickets. Perfect evening though, quarter moon coming up over the stage, a slight breeze off the Columbia river which is nearby and all the beer I wanted to drink. I admit to sloshing home..good thing we walked to the venue. I wonder if they ticket for WUIA (Walking under the influence). And poorly singing Lay Lady Lay off key with half-dozen other Motel 6 clients who walked back with us..at least as far as the truck stop where they stopped to have just another beer and sing keroke.

I'll have to pull another weekend roll call when I am home some time.

Thanks for the great party my dear friends....Now I'm seriously considering hitting my lonely bed (;;sighs: for about 12 hours of solid sleep to make up for the interrupted sleep that began at 2AM and ended about 5 AM both Friday and Saturday night.

AH the wonder of a lusty younger man at the peak of his ability, and who knows it!

Not to change the subject or anything, but since I'm sharing pictures....this is one of my prettier sewing machines. :-)
OMG pamers..do you quilt? I totally covet that singer machine..I had one in the early 60s, a treadle maching that I hauled around in the back of my (of course) Big Orange VW Van, going from Dead gig to Dead gig to set up in the parking lots with tye die t shirt sellers, grilled cheese with muchrooms sellers, tie-dye bedspreads, hanging macreme plant holders, bong creators and we few seamstresses who designed and sewws 'Guat's dresses for the twirlers. Guats dresses were so simple to make-I used the cheapest fabric I could find from Woolworths or a local 5 & Dime store...they were 2 straps, a shapeless breast band with a couple of darts sewed in empire style to a gathered skirt that hung to just below pantie length. Never more than a yard of fabric in the dress-I'd charge between $6 to $10 for each one and also made mens pirate style shirts with much more fabric, out of sheeting-I usually got $30-50 for those If I got an order to embroider roses, skulls with roses or dancing bears on them they were more. It was all done by hand and I could finish about 8 of them during a gig and still hear the music. I'd sit under the coleman lantern, hand sewing embroidering in the darkness to make enough money to buy supplies before the next gig and feed my 18 year old son.

Sorry to the trip back thru the way back time tunnel-dunno what brought that all out??

As a BTW, there were quite a lot of people who just set up lawn chairs in the parking lot to listen to the music..didn't have to pay that outrageous ticket price and Ticketmaster convenience charge.

Later boys and girls..gave a good Monday and remember, summers almost gone. It's time to Rock and Roll!
