I met this woman, she seemed really into me, we went on a date, all was good, even the follow up phone call the next day was good. She even said things like, you should have kissed me, when am I gonna see you again, yadayadayada. The following day, she texts me she will be busy with mom but will call when mom leaves.
Well, mom def left by now, and it is almost the following day.
This woman also had time to go on facebook and leave a message for her friends about whatever.
I'm assuming she just isn't the into me, but def seemed like it, what the heck is the deal, she says nice things like that to me, but then doesn't even send a text or anything. I don't want to be stepped on.
How do I handle this?

Your used to living in a world of instant gratification. She called and stated that she would be busy, enough said. Give her time to get back to you besides, what are you possibly going to gain from closing her out?

You are probably right.

That said, I would send at least two messages before giving up.

At this point she is likely not thinking of you much, if at all, but is swamped with random messages from men.

If the first meeting was paid fully by you, if I were you I would give up on her at this point (it is her turn to plan a meeting.)

If the first meeting was shared, I would make a communication with a specific meeting plan for the next available Friday or Saturday.

***

Note, that you do not want to appear pathetic by "chasing" her.

Make a decisive invitation, and if you do not receive a positive reply, write her off.

Nah, you're right - she ain't too interested. She said she'd call and hasn't.

As what to do now, personally I'd forget it. Too many fish in the sea and all that.

It's not even 24 hours since she said she'd call and you want to dump her? Wow.

I'd recommend being a little more patient, especially since she had family things going on. Unless you're in a race.

You had one date so far?

It has been less than a day since her mom presumably left, and you are upset because she has not contacted you yet?

You are already checking up on her Facebook to see what she has been doing in that time?

Lighten up... you are starting to sound a bit scary...

Oh for petes sake-do you think one date makes you #1 in her world>
Get real!
She said she was busy..I can facebook laying in bed relaxing...with company in the other room. If I want to talk to a date, I want the time to devote to it.

I'm with whoever said you are used to instant gratification....what is gained by shutting her down ? Thats acting like a selfish spoiled man?

Call her tomorrow and see if shes busy Saturday or Sunday for a meet...whats the loss in doing that?

sheesh.....

OK, I would interpret this situation as one of two things:

1) She was interested, but you blew it on the followup, when she didn't get the response she was looking for with "when am I gonna see you again"

2) She's still interested, but is either busy or doesn't want to scare you away being too clingy.

Either way, my suggestion is to follow these steps:

1) Determine a cool place to hang out (not dinner, just something fun to do. Great suggestions: A "for the whole family" video arcade like Dave and Busters, a pool hall, comedy show, bowling, etc.

2) Call her up and say "Hey, was planning on going to [wherever] this [whenever] for some fun. Wanna tag along?" (don't leave this in voice mail, get her on the phone live, or use email)

Don't leave the place or date open, fill them in yourself. Have a definite place and time already set (you can negotiate if she's busy)

Good luck!
