OK, when was your last really great date?

Who was it with?
It was with an eHarmony match.

What did you do?
We fixed dinner together (well sort of) and then watched a DVD of Sleepless in Seattle.

What made it so great?
Not exactly sure but I had the best time of most any date I have ever had. Everything was very relaxed and peaceful.

Did you go out with him/her again?

No, we had a date set up for a couple of days later. She came by my house told me there was no "chemistry" and then left.

when was your last really great date?
June 28th

Who was it with?
A... P.Y.T

What did you do?
It was a b-day dinner at my place ( I was cooking, scary I know) So prior to dinner, I suggested we take a walk on the beach, where I had secretly set up a blanket for a little picnic.. ( homemade sangria, cheeses, fruit, veggies, dip, etc)
What made it so great?
The conversation we had and a game of mad libs (world greatest word game) we also played a competitve game of bean bag toss late into the night!

Did you go out with him/her again?
Yes.. there were 10 mores after that, infact all the dates were great.. but no more dates

I went out on a great date Monday night. We met at an Italian place and shared a pitcher of Sangria and a Prosciutto pizza, excellent conversation talking about all sorts of things. Lots of laughter on both sides as well. After a few hours we walked around a bit then it was decided to go back to her place.

We hung out for a few hours at her place, still talking, drinking tea and it was a very comfortable. It was intimate without being really physical, sitting on opposite sides of a loveseat but still some contact, light touching, etc. She hinted a few tomes that more could happen, but I wasn't ready for that with her yet.

Date ended talking about getting together again this Friday and a few kisses. Not sure if it will lead anywhere, but it was a great date.

The last really great date I had was in April. It was approaching my girlfriend's birthday and she had been in Vegas at a conference for a week. While she was gone, I asked her roommate to plant my gift on her night stand. I had bought her flowers several times in the past, but she never had a vase to put them in. I went and picked out a beautiful hand-blown vase and bought different glass flowers to fill it with. I hand-made her card and wrote her a note (taking calligraphy was the best idea I've ever had) that I placed in the bouquet.

We had a date planned for the night that she got back into town, and when she opened the door that night, I knew that I was in for a treat. I took her where we went on our first date and then snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie. The smile that never left her face that night is why it was the last great date. We went out many more times, but were unfortunately on two divergent paths.

OK, when was your last really great date?

My last great date was July 21st to 25th. I wonder if that would count as one date or several dates?

Who was it with?

Notyet, of course!

What did you do?

I flew into the Vancouver, BC airport on Wednesday the 21st - I arrived at about 10:30 am, as I recall. He was waiting for me with a daisy. I love daisies! Then we drove south across the border, heading to his home. I met his children and his dad that evening, which was lovely. Later that evening we got things ready with his daughter for a picnic lunch the next day.

Thursday morning he picked me up at my hotel and we had breakfast at his house before leaving for an absolutely wonderful day at the ocean. I am a prairie girl and have only been to the ocean once before, when I was 16. I was so excited to see it again!! It's so big! We went to two different beaches and we also drove through a rainforest. The hydrangeas there were amazing! So blue!! We also took a ride on a ferry at sunset. It was lovely. I don't usually care for boats, but I enjoyed it that time. Perhaps it was the sunset and the company? Oh! I got to see the Olympic mountains that day too!

On Friday, we went to Mt. Rainier, which was gorgeous. I saw avalanche lilies, daisies, indian paintbrush, and whole bunch of other beautiful things. We had another picnic for lunch - this time on the mountain. Then we drove to a place called Chinook Pass, where things looked quite dry. It really was a wonderful day.

That evening, I got myself all dolled up for a night out. We went to Seattle for dinner and then strolled along the pier. We had a fantastic view of the water from our table at the restaurant. Sunset, water, boats . . . sigh . . .

We spent most of Saturday at church. It was great! Saturday morning we went to a messianic church, which is something I've never experienced before. They had a guest speaker/singer there that morning and the service lasted about three hours. The music was very good. In the evening we went to a CMA church, which was more familiar to me in terms of format and music. I tried to avoid being noticed as a guest, but I was spotted and given a mug full of Hershey Kisses. lol I blushed - a lot. After that service, we went to Dairy Queen.

On Sunday, we had breakfast out and then notyet and I left for the drive back to Vancouver so I could catch my flight back to Ottawa. I wasn't happy to be getting on that plane. Thankfully, it's only twelve days until our next date! Yay!!!

What made it so great?

Being together.

Did you go out with him/her again?

Well, we certainly will be going out again! lol Twelve days to go and then it will be one loooong date for most of August. Can't wait!!

I want to get some good, positive dating mojo flowing around here today, so please share.
It was great!

I was a lovely evening. I dragged her by the hair to my cave and ordered her to start the fire with some flint....then we painted some pictures on the walls.
