Hey folks,

How was your weekend? Anyone have any dates to report?

My weekend was very good, I spent it in Central California celebrating the 75th birthday of the partiarch of one of my favorite families! We spent a few hours lakeside and got some swimming and sunsoaking in, and then went home and ate, ate and ate some more. Sunday was a lazy day in their lovely home that sits atop a hill (oh, the views!!!!) until it was time to hit the road home.

No dates this week, but I do get to see my girl this coming Sunday after a 3 week drought.

Did an impromptu yard sale on Sunday. Only made $15, but it's 15 I didn't have before.

Got a sunburn too. Ouch!

Friday night my best friend Jess and I went out to Karaoke with my stepsister and her friends. Jess headed back Saturday morning and I spent Saturday afternoon with my stepmom and siblings. Saturday night I picked the girlfriend up from work and we went out to Taco Bell with my brother, stepbrother his girlfriend and two of his friends to stuff ourselves with cheap Tacos and than we to the Xtreme Bowling (where they have the music and black lights and drink specials). After bowling my stepbrother (who took over driving my car since I was drinking) and his girlfriend and my girlfriend went on a Wal-Mart run and than we got the bright idea to go to this Adult store in our hometown of Eddy. So we drove 30 minutes only to find out that the place isn't 24 hours and anymore and closes at midnight. Being the spontaneous bunch we are we hopped back in the car and drove and hour to go to another adult store that I knew was 24 hours.

Bought the girl a really cute sailor custom that I can't wait for her to try on which prompted the thread I idea I have in the Let's Talk About Sex group.

We all crashed my my parents house and Sunday went to IHOP and Best Buy (I got a great deal on a Blu-Ray player with internet streaming) and than we lounged around my parents house before I had to leave to take the girlfriend back home and than get home myself.

I had another kid centered but fun weekend. We went to the Jersey Shore. My first time seeing the ocean all summer. Usually we go to local lakes, sounds and waterfront. On Sunday we did chores and then took my mom out to dinner at a cheesy chain we used to go to way back when. It was a weekend full of love and family.

On the dating front, I just got to the phone exchange portion with an interesting match and am starting email with someone else. Both of these efforts, if all goes well, should net me a date in the next week or so.

I bought these three "sexy" kind of date dresses back on my 40th bday. I'd love to get to wear them before the summer is out so I've invited a few friends out to a lounge in a few weeks for a girls night. Yay!

My weekend was good, won my first two matches in the club championship (Golf) My next opponent is a 16yr old!

No dates this weekend, thinking about turning matching back on.

Out of curiosity, I turned my eH matching back on for Free Communication Week.

No matches, not even a Flexible Match since the last F C Weekend.

Ate some Cherry Vanilla ice-cream. Watched my hawt neighbor mow her lawn. Haven't seen her live in boyfriend around for a while. Maybe they broke up ( hopefully ).

Friday I introduced my 5 yo daughter to her 7 yo son over dinner then took them for a bike ride where they had a great time playing with each other.

Saturday they joined us for my friend's 1yo sons birthday party. Then we went to her place for lunch. Then her office for a few minutes while I gave her some free computer help while the kids played on the playground (a daycare). After which we went to the volleyball court where they played in the sand before heading off for home exhausted.

Sunday just the two of us took off to the hot springs a little after noon after a great breakfast in a little hole in the wall restaurant. At the hot springs had a great time hiking the mountain trails and freezing our feet in the mountain stream. Had a great conversation regarding real meaningful things regarding each other in which she told me that she was worrier that I wasn't "wild" enough for her. Had an awesome rest of the day really enjoying dispelling that concern....

I made some trusses (I needed non-standard sizes, and having them built was just ridiculously expensive). Shipped some shingles. Started demo-ing a small porch roof in order to make room for a much bigger one. Ran into some hazmat, found out local control on this issue is anything but standardized.

Then it got hot and I got lazy. I slept through the heat of the day like a great big cat. *grin*

This afternoon I did some personally edifying research. Brain needs some exercise, too. This is my vacation week, so I can be legitimately lazy. I think I'll put that on my "to do" list for tomorrow. Or maybe the weekend, I dunno.
