I have seen multiple discussions on which sites have worked for which people.

I have heard from many that POF is not a good site for people truly looking for a relationship. That said, I have found it to have people very willing to communicate even if by IM or email. I have had real conversations, follow up conversations, offers to date and real dates (imagine that!). Anyway, I was just wondering if others have found this to be true as well. At this point it seems to be the most active/productive sight for me.

Hey there...I have been on POF for 2 months now and have talked with some nice guys....but usually 1out of 10 sends a message back if you send them one...Seems like the cute ones are looking for the blond with the long legs and have been bitten pretty good by the ex's...a few told me so...and watch out...POF is loaded with scammers...If their english is poor....think Nigeria dear and run...They are in love with you and your wallet...If they delete their profile after you talk..run..........I did get one hit, so to speak...nice School teacher...with more then just gradin papers on his mind...Oh well, I guess he is on spring break and it was okay...I had a good time twice...yipee......Ellie

Scary scary scary. The first guy to communicate with me said he was a bi-curious submissive doctor who wanted a woman to "force" him to do things with other men. I met another guy with SERIOUS, frightening anger issues. Several married meN. Several other fetish guys. I left after about a week, wondering if free meant freaky.

My experience with POF, it's a great way to meet people if you're into the casual dating thing, and not really looking for a long-term.

It's also free.. so lots of bogus profiles. When I was actively looking, I did have a profile. Most of the women I spoke too, were receiving 20-30 messages a day and were so guarded because of it, they never really enjoy their time on it..

It was suggested that I should join POF, so I did so over a year ago. I find the site very cumbersome to navigate. The only communication I have ever received on POF has been from a girl who organizes outings (read bar parties) and sends invitations to everyone who is local on POF. I have noticed some very hot babes on there however I have had no personal communication with anyone. Having discussed POF with some friends who have had communication with guys on POF it seems that mostly the people on there (at least in my area) are only looking to hook up and are not interested in a relationship.

As been reported in other threads on these boards about POF you get what you pay for.
