It seems going to a movie is a rather popular date choice, but how about seeing a movie In a slightly different way? At the Drive-In? (Yes believe it or not there are still a few of them around)

*It'*s different that's for sure. Until a few months ago I hadn't been to the Drive In since I was a kid. Sadly most of them closed down back in the 80s with the invention of the VCR.

I wanted to reacquaint myself with them to see if it'*s somewhere to take a lady.

So feel free to share you memories of this form of entertainment

I love the drive-in! There's one in my little bitty hometown and we always have fun going. Makes me feel almost like a teenager again.

However, I will say that the weather needs to be just right....

I vote no.

For too many reasons to bother listing again.

Go where you can speak to each other.

I'd take a lady to a drive-in movie if I could find one (none here), but probably not for the first date or two. You do remember that bench seats are best, right? And, you'll want a cool evening so the windows fog up quicker.

I do not take dates, particularly the first few, to the movies for this very reason. But, I have to ask why you can't speak to each other in the privacy of your own car (where you can't bother anyone).

Well you're in the privacy of your own car and as for talking to each other that's what intermission is for. Yes bench seats are best. I have a station wagon. I could also easily put the back seats down. Not the same as a Panel Van but non the less

Drive Ins are the BEST! In fact, it is where my last gf and I decided to go for our first date (cuz we both loved them growing up.. and discovered they were around). Now, we're both hooked (although we are no longer bf/gf or going to them together anymore).

I liked it because we could talk withotu bothering other peopole. We could get up and walk around if we wanted. And also if things click (as they did with us), then you can get cozy as well.

I don't know if suggesting it as a first date is a great idea (because of what most people assume it insinuates), but I think it's a terrific date idea myself.

I love the drive in. We have one here and I don't go often enough.

But I always enjoy it when I do.

I think the drive-in is a great place to take a date but I wouldn't do that for a first date.
