Haha, I've actually had guys ask some of those questions on first dates! Maybe they read this article?

To be fair, I know that first dates can be nerve-wracking, but you'd do so much better to just relax and let the conversation flow naturally. Nobody wants to feel like they're being interrogated on the first date.

No, they come from people whose bonuses depend on us staying customers. Meaning they give us advice that would result in failure of a date, and the process will repeat in perpetuity.

I generally dislike "favorite" questions. It's why I rarely fill out public profiles that ask you to list your favorite something or other. Why must I only pick one? I have several good friends, but I would never call any of them "best" over the other. I have several movies I simply love and can't just choose one favorite. Same goes with food, books, places, songs, etc. Ugh.

In that case, what were you like as a kid?
