Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a GREAT Independence Day weekend (well, the ones in the US celebrated Independence Day, at least!)

What did you do? Any dates to report?

I went up north to San Fran and celebrated with friends. No dating related action whatsoever, though Still, I had a very nice time even though it was a busy weekend (mostly around the preparation, consumption and cleaup of meals, lol) and lots of driving.

How about you?

I successfully cleaned out the refridgerator. Something squirmed away toward the back, but I caught it before it could escape.

I did have ... drumroll, please! ... a match!

Well let's see...I was supposed to spend a few days this weekend with an eH match I had been getting along great with the last few weeks...and then he flaked.

So I ended up spending a nice night drinking wine and talking with a friend of mine on Friday (talking about aforementioned flake), Saturday I actually spent my day cleaning and night on here for the first time...and Sunday I had a date-like evening watching fireworks in the city with a "friend" of mine. So, while it wasn't the weekend I planned...it ended up being nice and relaxing.

I had a wonderful time with Catherine this weekend. We went to a fourth of July festival and just enjoyed getting to know each other better. People say that it takes a couple of dates, sometimes three to know if the person is going to be someone you really want to start dating. Well, two dates in, and she continues to impress me ever so much more. Still playing it cool! Can't wait for our zoo date this weekend. I can't wait to see her again!

Played phone tag with eh match, found out this am he was actually across the lake for the weekend.

Oh well he's calling tonight so I guess I'll ask him out!

I went to fireworks on Sunday evening and met a wonderful guy. Funny, bright, romantic and a little mischievous. And, he wants to marry me!

He is six years old.

I told him that I could not marry him for another 12 years because otherwise I would go to jail.

He responded by saying that he would tell the police how much he loves me and then they'd let me out.

How..cute...is...that?

Another great weekend with the boyfriend. On Saturday, we drove out to the closest National Park, went for a boat ride, had a delish Italian dinner and picked up some fudge for the drive back. On Sunday, we went for a walk to and around a local park then went for ice cream. His pistachio cookie dough combo was remarkably tasty! (Mine was too, but it was a more 'normal' flavour.)

We're in that so-gushy-you-just-want-to-puke lovey dovey honeymoon phase of the relationship, and it's beyond great.

No date, but i did call an EH match. Bad timing on my part, she was busy and couldn't talk.

I'm going to try and call her back tonight.

On another weird note, I just got friend requested last week on facebook by my first girlfriend ever. Its been 20 years since i've seen her. 19 years since i've even thought about her.

She starts up on facebook, and I'm one of the first people she looks up. Wow. I must have totally rocked her world. Too bad totally took advantage of me back then. I'm actually going to see her this weekend.
