How do I get from the talking and e-mailing stage.

To a phone and dating stage. I have not figured out how to make that jump .

Ask the person to meet for a date.

Such as, " may I take you to dinner this Firday?"

That is so hard for me to do. I guess I need to, since I am dude and most time I think the lady is waiting on me to make the move . I am just scared of getting shoot down. .

There is a risk of getting a "no". But the alternative is to never ask ... which leaves you unhappy.

It will get easier. Also, feeling hurt or rejected or disappointed -- that's all survivable stuff. Chances are you've already felt that way, for one reason or another, in your life ... many times! Right? Everyone has. And yet here you are, here we all are. It's survivable.

Go for it.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. There comes a time where you just have to man up and shake it off. Easier said than done sometimes, but that's ultimately what you have to do.

If you can invent a solution for this problem, you will surely have a very successful product.

I agree that most women are waiting, most of the time, for the man to do, or say, something. (We encourage them not to, but that's a seperate discussion.)

The thing is, that you are going to fail most of the time. (What is it Thomas Edison said? He tried 2,000 wrong ways to make a light bulb, before one right way?)

To cope with this inevitable failure:

- Recognize that it is a numbers game, and accept that many women are going to turn you down for all manner of reasons.

- Rejoice in small victories, and build upon them: get a Lady to laugh, say hello, or stop walking to speak to you - easy stuff like that.

You can also say "Would you be interested in talking on the phone? Here is my phone number or if you prefer, I can initiate the call if you provide a phone number."

Everyone gets a little nervous at this stage, but if she's still talking to you, she'll be agreeable to talking or meeting. Good luck.
