Ladies and gentlemen,

Of late there's been some hot topics on the boards and as a result, some hot tempers.

I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone here of the Community Standards, which each of you agreed to when you began posting on our boards.

-No personal attacks. If you observe a personal attack (a statement with the deliberate intent to belittle or hurt another Community Member or group of Members), please click on the Report Post button and we will handle it as appropriate. Replying only fans the flames of a heated situation, so REPORT, don't REPLY.

-Stay on topic. The off-topic banter is getting excessive of late, and that's unacceptable. Discussing the personal characteristics of another poster in that or another thread is considered off-topic (and oftentimes is a personal attack, to boot - particularly when done in a mocking manner). The latter is also becoming all to prominent, and it's got to stop.

-No Masked Obscenities. More and more people have been slipping all types of obscenities by the filter and that is expressly prohibited in the Community Standards. Please -- don't do it. You're all intelligent enough to be able to have interesting discussions without resorting to profanities.
