...last date!

Was it great? Nightmare? Somewhere in between?

Tell us!

Also, say hello and tell us a bit about yourself. I'm seeing lots of new faces here lately and would like to get to know folks a bit better

I'll start!

~~~
I'm Lori, and I'm the Online Community Manager for eHarmony. I work on this site and four others that we own. I am single and I live in the Los Angeles area. I enjoy traveling (especially local - LOVE road trips!), shopping, dining out (and no guys...I don't expect you to pay! ) and working out / riding my bike.
My last date was....not good. Let me just sum it up by offering you this tip that I wish my date had heard before we went out: if your date's eyes start glazing over after a half hour straight of you babbling about YOUR EX - it's time to change the subject.
OK, let's hear it from the newbies and the strong, silent types - come on out and say HI!
Hi, I'm D_Lion,
On my last date we had a stimulating discussion about the election.
I still can't believe she voted for Jimmy Carter!
Hey everyone, I'm BookGal, also known as MJ. I'm 40, live in North Georgia. I've never been married but broke up with my long-time boyfiend earlier this year. I joined eH in late Feb and have been enjoying myself quite a bit. While I'm by no means dating up a frenzy, I've gone out with several nice guys and am currently waiting for that spark to hit.
My last date was this past Saturday. We went to dinner and the movies. I had a nice time but as I had mentioned in another thread, it just seemed like a repeat of the date before. This guy is very nice but he's not a mover and I'm used to being passive since I used to be with a more agressive guy. Guess I better get moving if he's really what I want.
Nice to "meet" everyone!
Hi I'm kimbirdy. I'm 38, divorced and live in the scorching AZ desert.
I joined a couple months ago and my last date was a couple weeks ago. It was the 6th and (as I learned later) final date with a match that I really liked. Then I got the "It's not you, it's me" e-mail and that was that. Oddly, though, on that last date he'd loaned me a book and now there's the awkwardness of somehow returning it. It was a good learning experience, though, and I don't regret it at all.
Hi everyone!
I am amused_n_confused and I am new to these boards. I know that's a lot to type out, so please just call me "AC." I am 31, single, and currently reside in the Los Angeles area. I've recently gotten more serious about finding that "special someone." Throughout my 20s, dating was never really a priority for me and I never felt like I needed to be in a relationship to be fulfilled, so I only dated casually, concentrating more on graduating, finding myself, and nailing down a career. But now that I am in my 30s, I am feeling that life is probably easier if I had a "partner-in-crime".
My last date was last last Saturday, with a match from eharmony that I was seeing for a little over a month. While he was a terrific guy, I realized on that date that there was no real spark, so I broke things off with him last Wednesday. I'm kinda bummed about it, since I don't think he took the news too well, especially since he had recently just gotten into a car accident, which destroyed his beloved car.
I've been enjoying reading lots of the threads on these forums and am starting to catch on to the different personalities of the regular posters on here. You all are a fun bunch!
Hello, I'm FrancescaMoi77 or just Franny. I'm from Louisiana, where I make my own living.
The last date I went on was with my significant other. He was charming enough to scoop me up and we've been dating a few months now. We had gone to the movies, and then to dinner where he asked me to be his lady friend. It was quite sweet!
Hey MJ!
I remember you from the other thread - I need to go back there and see if you reposted though you kind of answered my question below - glad to see you're willing to step a wee bit out of your usual comfort zone re: getting what you want. I hope he turns out to be what you want, or that we'll bring you someone soon who is. Meanwhile, glad to hear you're having fun - looking forward to seeing you more around the boards!
