Ha. I am BBQ tri tip, sausage, making corn on the cob and beans for my daughters 21st B-day.

I already brought her and her friends to the first bar she has legally drank at and bought them all a few. It is starting to get lively here. Maybe by 9pm it will be hopping.

I'm waiting for my 20 year old daughter to come home from visiting friends. One last dinner out, and then she and my younger daughter leave for LA to move into her into her first apartment. And I get four days home alone. What will I do with myself?

One is a senior at UCLA, the other will be home Thursday, she is still in high school.

Is your 21 year old in school? Mine is chomping at the bit for her 21st, which isn't until fall. She'll be the last of her friends hitting that milestone, so she will have quite the entourage for bar hopping.

My 21 yr old went to LA to go to school at LA trade tech. She got in so much trouble down there I went and got her and brought her home. School and LA just did not work for her. So now she is welding and machining. That is what she wanted to do anyway.

My 28 yo she lives down there and just finished up her masters in psych at Cal State LA.

Being the last to hit 21 is a bummer when you have to sit and watch everyone go out. But like you say, the advantage is everyone can go out with you when the time comes.
