So fellas, how many of you would date an older woman, say 5 to 10 years?

And I do mean actually date or have a relationship with, not just pick up at the cougar bar!

I voted yes. I get on well with older women. Speaking generally (disclaimer: of course people are all individuals, blah blah blah), older women seem to know what they want and go for it, aren't afraid to intelligently express themselves, are more established in their careers, and know what they're doing in the intimacy department--all wonderful qualities I look for.

I think i'd date 5 years but any more and thats pushing it. Mainly because I don't want to date a woman that is in a different phase of life than I am. Im currently 26.

Why would you assume she'd be at a different phase than you, simply because she's 31?

Because usually women past that age want to be married in 1 year and start having kids. That which I am not.

Okay, I'm 49. I have my age settings at 2 younger, 8 older. Can I lower my bottom number safely and still have interested matches? How young is okay and when does it become just creepy?

The question is what are you personally realistically comfortable with? What works for others in this regard is irrelevant to what works for you and your SO.

I would do it again

I'm almost 41 and still think I may want to have kids and a family. That isn't likely to happen with a 50 year old woman. 10 years ago I felt differently and dated an older woman. If I were 10 years older and in the same situation I'd feel differently.
