Hey everyone,

How was your weekend? Anyone got any dates to report?

My weekend was fun -- ran errands, got a massage went to a friends housewarming party, conquered a big organizational project at home, did a bit of work for the 'ol eH

No date stuff to report but unlike the usual, not for lack of trying (see more in my thread in the Great eHA Dating Experiment Group!)

I can't complain about what I pay for eH - any less and it would be free.

but

I can't remember when I last received a response, I haven't had a view in nearly a week, no new matches for several days, and before that in the previous week or so, only a handful which were LDs a half dozen states away and/or had incomplete profiles.

So, over the weekend I also signed up for Plenty of Fish. At the least there are a lot of matches close by AND they are active.

Beginning Wednesday evening I had 5 first dates in 5 days. A personal best! (LOL) This dating madness is necessitated by my work schedule, often with 2 to 6 weeks straight with no ability to socialize at all. Interest builds up, requests build up, shows end and I am a busy girl. Now we just have to see which, if any, of the above first dates lead to second dates. ( My guess right now is 3)

Went to a Casino Birthday party. This was for all people who had a birthday in May. Was there for two hours and then heard my name called over the loud speaker. Thought I had won $500 in casino money.... nope, I got a lovely gift basket. I feel so special. And my clothes smell like cigarette smoke now.

Other than that I had some conversation with a guy who lives about 3 1/2 hours from me. Not a eH match, but we definitely have a lot in common.

Just spent a 4 day week end RV trip to the mountains with a great EH match. Will undoubtably be spending more time with this great lady.

I had an impromptu date. A friend and her friend invited me out to dinner. Our mutual friend had spouse issues (IE, husband was being difficult) and she had to bail on us, leaving the two of us together. I ended up taking her to Dave and Busters and then dancing.

Who says I can't be spontaneous.

Now, will there be a second "date"? Who knows? There were a couple of flags that came up, but, with the advice I always give, I will also take. I will see what happens and give things a fair chance.

Went to see "Ironman 2", then dinner at a Thai restaurant with my EH guy. We've been seeing each other for several months, but he has not made the "move". Sometimes I think we are movie buddies who only kiss. That is all....

(Even though I know he likes me a lot and wants to introduce me to his Mom. Are guys still that old-fashioned?)

My weekend was quite wonderful. I'm in Ottawa now and I'm getting settled in - yay!
